Proposal to ammend permissions

My primary way of viewing blogs is via my RSS reader, so I can keep up with about 20 friend-related blogs. Unfortunately, one can't use the blogger RSS feed for private blogs, which means that I'll only be checking this blog when I can remember to click over to it.

I propose changing the view permissions to public and just changing the settings such "list blog" and "allow search engine crawl" are turned off.

Anybody else have this issue? If it's just me then I'll shut up and deal.

  1. Actually, I agree. Things on my google page get more attention and so far I've failed to gadgetize this blog.
It would be nice if RSS worked.

  2. I'm rather reluctant to do this, because I don't want any of the Rabble stumbling onto the URL (primarily because I don't want to deal with comment spam).

Also, since Bob is by far the most active Author on the blog to date, I'm unpersuaded that lack of RSS attention substantively impedes blogging.

Nevertheless, I'd entertain enabling the RSS feed if I could use it.  I've been without a newsreader since my last upgrade in October, and I wasn't wedded to what I had, so I'd be interested in any recommendations for a new newsreader.

    Admit impediments.

I didn't say I was impeded, I just said it would be nice. The Baxter shot was an autopost email sent from my iPhone, so I have that down.

I like the iGoogle homepage myself, www.google.com/ig. You can add any RSS feed to it.

Or more dynamically use google reader http://www.google.com/reader

Of course, now THEY know everything I do.
