So, I havent had any exposure to Fantastic Mr. Fox, either the book or (now) the movie. Wes Anderson is on probation with me, so Ill probably see the movie if the opportunity arises. My question is: should I bother with the book?

The book is a short, silly little romp. It's one of the first "chapter" books we read with Simon, because it is only about 60 pages and has great illustrations (at least Doug's childhood edition does). I just re-read it -- it is your classic "clever fox outsmarts evil stupid farmers" story and is a lot less dark than most Dahl books. I am trying to entice a sick, feverish Elena to read it with me later...
ReplyDeleteSick and feverish is the best time to read Roald Dahl books.
