Continental Divide

Our seven-day, six-night road trip to Banff National Park in Canada took us mostly through British Columbia and Washington, with geographically brief incursions into Alberta and Idaho.  On the way to Banff we saw flames from the Kelowna forest fire, the Shuswap lake district, and the Revelstoke Railway Museum.  On the way home from Banff we saw the source of the Columbia River, Grand Coulee Dam, and the canyons of Dry Wells.  In between we saw some jaw-dropping glaciers, mountains, lakes, rivers, and a couple of goats.  We saw no wolves, bears, moose, or elk*.

Photos can be seen here.

* Unless "elk" is slang for loud German tourists, in which case we saw herds.
